The company aims to reduce IT operations spend by emphasizing Automate + Robotize, Power Application Development, Infrastructure, Maintenance, and Support.

Responsibilities

To streamline the security, compliance, and performance monitoring, automate the following tasks :

• Configuration and operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualized environments.
• Ensuring compliance of servers and virtualization infrastructure.
• Monitoring IT infrastructure and generating reports.
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and implement automation processes to improve efficiency.
• Conduct through troubleshooting of hardware and software errors, documenting problems and resolutions, and prioritizing and assessing the impact of issues.
• Provide detailed documentation and technical specifications for the planning and implementation of new IT infrastructure upgrades.
• Perform and monitor regular backup operations and establish robust processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Manage patch management activities for all servers and virtual infrastructure to maintain security and compliance.
• Take responsibility for capacity planning, storage management, and optimizing systems performance to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Ensure the system uptime aligns with the organization's requirements and business continuity.
• Log all incidents, service requests, and change requests in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system and fulfil them within stipulated Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Address vulnerabilities identified in vulnerabilities scans within the timeline specified in the organization's vulnerability management framework.
• Oversee and execute project rollouts and deployments to enhance the IT infrastructure and support organizational objectives.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimally hold a bachelor's degree in computer science.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, with expertise in one or more of the following operating systems: Windows Server 2016 and above.
• At least 5 years of experience in the administration of virtual infrastructure, utilizing platforms such as VMware or Nutanix.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools to streamline IT operations.
• Proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting web applications.
• Preferred experience working in Higher Education environments.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills to handle complex IT tasks efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain technical data and documentation accurately.
• Extensive knowledge of hardware, systems, and networking protocols.
• Familiarity with IT operations best practices to ensure smooth and secure IT service delivery.
• Possession of IT certifications, including :
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
• IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
