UI Designer

Yext is seeking a dedicated and motivated Mid-Level UI Designer to join our Services organization! A UI Designer at Yext contributes to our team's portfolio of high-caliber client pages, enhancing our design system, and elevating our team’s design standards. Successful candidates will be curious and humble visual designers with a successful track record in the digital design space. The ideal candidate is highly organized, diligent, and a strong communicator, who can complete design work with short deadlines, embrace a forever-learning approach and own mistakes with grace. This role is fully on-site in our Hyderabad, India office. What You Will Do Collaborate closely with fellow designers and our client-facing project managers to identify the client design problem and develop a strong design solution Produce high-quality visual digital designs for high-profile clients that reflect a client’s business priorities and branding, drive users to take action, and inject beauty and life into a product Push creativity, constructively challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of approaching (and solving) a problem Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of Yext Services’ design system, ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints Develop comprehensive designs with prototyping that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas to all stakeholders (fellow designers, project managers, software engineers, and the client) Partner with Software Engineers to implement our designs Present and defend design decisions to peers and stakeholders Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in UX/UI design What You Have BA/BS degree (or MA/MS degree) in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, HCI), or a related field 2-4 years of professional experience in a full-time role as a visual designer (or similar role) for web applications and digital services Basic proficiency in Figma and eagerness to master the design tool Experience designing with data variability and interaction design Comfortable with organization tools: Slack, G-Mail, Google Docs, Google Sheets A well-thought-out online portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects, free of typos Who You Are Curious and humble when approaching design challenges Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills Committed to continuous learning and improvement Own your mistakes and be willing to quickly learn from them Bonus Points Familiarity designing for desktop, mobile, and tablet device screen sizes Front-end web skills (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.) Experience designing for variable data (CMS-driven layouts) Effective time management and facilitation skills
