About the role

As a Content Moderator, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and safety of Yelp's platform. You'll be responsible for reviewing user-generated content, such as reviews, photos, and tips, to ensure they align with Yelp's content guidelines. This involves carefully evaluating each piece of content, identifying potential policy violations, and taking appropriate actions to address them. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing content submitted by Yelp users in a timely and efficient manner - Identifying and addressing policy violations, such as hate speech, harassment, or intellectual property infringement - Communicating with users to provide feedback and guidance on content standards - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and refine content moderation strategies - Staying up-to-date with Yelp's content policies and industry best practices To be successful in this role, you'll need strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of online community management. You should also be comfortable making quick decisions and navigating ambiguous situations. Experience in content moderation or community management is a plus, but we're also open to considering candidates with a passion for maintaining safe and inclusive online spaces.
