Serves as one of the key clinical participants in project implementation by supporting the MA staff, by making educational resources available, and bringing concerns forward to the nursing leader for review.
Support as core team members in MA onboarding, check-ins, and day-of support with clinical flow.
Proactively develops a strong working relationship with other MAs and supports their skill mastery and core competencies required for job proficiency.
Assists the clinical nursing leader in maintaining professional practice and providing constructive feedback for workflow improvements.
Work closely with the nursing leader in day-to-day nursing operation facilitation, including patient flow, assisting with MA resources, and provider-patient needs.
Supports the clinic in medication inventory management using Willow for daily/weekly/monthly cycle count as well as in the process of ordering and receiving medications and vaccines.
Conducts huddles, team discussions, and ad-hoc reminders with the MA team to ensure the appropriate workflow is followed and maintained.
Consistently follows established clinical workflow and protocol to ensure the MA team is performing within the scope of their practice as defined and managed by the organization.
Supports in completing the MA competency as appropriate for the scope of practice.
Work proactively with the clinic nursing leader regarding the skill level and performance improvement of the MA employees.
Updates the clinic nursing leader on new hire readiness and onboarding performance evaluation by regularly checking in with them and supporting with locating as-needed resources.
Supports the nursing leader with quality assurance measures, including but not limited to hand hygiene audits, employee mask fitting, and employee onboarding immunization and labs.
Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) with point of care testing (POCT) and trains new hire MAs and apprenticeship with POCT and audits.
Assists the nursing leader in maintaining the autoclave and sterilization procedures, as well as audits per the organization’s protocol.
Maintain experience with patient-provider panel and assist in patient intake and rooming as necessary.
Able to take initiative and engage in supporting the patient-provider panel with efficiency.
Able to support the MA staff as well as participate in the MA-led clinic schedule for tasks such as immunization and vaccination.
Supports the clinic with ordering and maintaining general supplies
Performs clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements.
Assist with the coordination of breaks and lunches.
Performs other duties as assigned.
