Reports to: Sanitation Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Safe, efficient, and effective cleaning of production equipment, processing rooms and adjacent areas. 
• Perform swabbing (ATP, Environmental) of equipment and areas in support of site sanitation and other assigned programs. 
• Follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs) to ensure food safety, work safety, and food defense.  
• Follow the approved sanitary methods in accordance with food safety requirements. 
• Ensure safety precautions are followed in performing your responsibilities 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: 

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposes. 
• Regularly time and attendance  
• Experience in food manufacturing within a GMP environment  
• Knowledge of sanitation practices for industrial cleaning chemicals and food safety related practices
• Must be 18 years or older. 
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects 
• Ability to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 38F-80F degrees)  
• Ability to repeat motions that may include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods (average 8-12 hours)
