Job Summary
The Epic Educator is a critical role responsible for bridging Epic application teams and end users to ensure effective workflow adoption, user satisfaction, and system efficiency. This role serves as a subject matter expert in Epic foundation workflows and trains users on how to interact with Epic in the most effective and efficient manner. The Epic Educator supports user adoption, remediation, optimization, and ongoing training across all end-user populations.
Location Requirement: To ensure high-touch, responsive support for our customers, candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius of our Centralus office (in/around Ithaca NY). This proximity enables essential on-site engagement and rapid response times critical to client success.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in internal and customer-facing workgroups to understand, document, and communicate key workflows and decisions
• Support role analysis activities
• Identify and scope change management needs from a training perspective
• Communicate training needs and updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Develop and deliver readiness, onboarding, and training materials
• Prepare and maintain super user packets
• Assist with super user program development and ongoing initiatives
• Develop and continuously improve customer onboarding and post–go-live training materials
• Support preparation and maintenance of Epic readiness environments
• Provide at-the-elbow support during go-lives, upgrades, and post-implementation periods
• Lead monthly post-live super user meetings
• Conduct regular user rounding and develop training-focused action plans
• Create and maintain learning home dashboards in partnership with application teams
• Lead readiness sessions, support Thrive initiatives, and participate in workflow reinforcement training
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience training multiple Epic user roles
• Experience in developing and maintaining training curricula, job aids, tip sheets, and quick reference guides
• Prior experience with Epic products strongly preferred
• Experience supporting Community Connect environments
• Clinical and/or operational background

• Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools

• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous or evolving environments
• Strong partnership skills with Epic analysts, application leads, and operational stakeholders
• 2–5+ years of experience delivering Epic end-user training
• Demonstrated experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, optimizations, go-lives, and post–go-live support
• Proficiency with Epic UserWeb training environments, eLearning platforms, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across IT, clinical, and operational teams
• Strong client service orientation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to translate complex Epic workflows into role-based training solutions
• Experience supporting end-user competency assessments
Education/Certifications
• Associate’s degree or healthcare-related license preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of Epic clinical experience preferred
Travel Requirements
• Up to 50% travel required (monthly rounding visits to our customer facilities within New York)
Physical Requirements
• Sedentary work requiring occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 10 pounds
• Primarily seated work with occasional standing and walking
