About The Role

As a Systems Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will play a pivotal role in researching, designing, developing, simulating, and validating complex systems-level software, hardware, architecture, and algorithms. Your work will contribute directly to the development of cutting-edge wireless communication technologies, including 4G, 5G, and upcoming 6G standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across product management, engineering, and research to ensure that system requirements are met and standards are exceeded. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation, troubleshooting complex system issues, and implementing solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of Qualcomm’s products. Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in Systems Engineering. Candidates with a Master's degree in the same fields should have at least 3 years of experience, while those holding a PhD should have a minimum of 2 years. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Engineering or related disciplines, over 8 years of experience in Systems Engineering, and extensive familiarity with cellular standards such as 3GPP NR, LTE, and 3G. Experience working within large matrixed organizations and engaging with senior leadership is highly valued. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with a demonstrated ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include leveraging your advanced systems knowledge to research, design, develop, simulate, and validate complex systems-level solutions. You will perform detailed functional analysis to define requirements, interface specifications, and system architecture, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Developing and analyzing system designs, including requirements management, functional and performance specifications, and implementation plans, will be a core part of your role. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute projects from conception to verification, you will develop innovative algorithms and contribute to the ideation of new features and products. Troubleshooting and resolving complex system-level issues, conducting root cause analysis, and presenting findings to stakeholders are critical components of your duties. Additionally, you will drive technical discussions, influence decision-making processes, and mentor junior team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing engineering environment.
