About the role :As a Data Engineer at Xebia, you will work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver our clients scalable and robust data solutions. Your key responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining data platforms and pipelines and mentoring new engineers . You will b e:responsible for at-scale infrastructure design, build and deployment with a focus on distributed system s,building and maintaining architecture patterns for data processing, workflow definitions, and system to system integrations using Big Data and Cloud technologie s,evaluating and translating technical design to workable technical solutions/code and technical specifications at par with industry standard s,driving creation of re-usable artifact s,writing efficient and well-organized software to ship products in an iterative, continual release environmen t,contributing and promoting good software engineering practices across the tea m,communicating clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audience s,defining data retention policie s,monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure change s. Your profi le:available to start within a short time frame (a maximum one month's notic e),8 years' experience with data engineeri ng,2+ years' experience with Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, Data Lake, Power BI, Devops, Delta Lake, CosmosD B),strong T-SQL skil ls,Python scripting skil ls,hands-on experience with ETL tools and process es,strong verbal and written communication skills in Engli sh.Work from the European Union region and a work permit are requir ed.
