SUMMARY:

We are seeking an individual with an outstanding work ethic and a history of success in the Appraisal field to join our team as a full-time Review Appraiser. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, integrity, honesty, professionalism, and will maintain ownership of their work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review full line of Appraisal products to ensure superior quality
  • Reviewing and understanding client requests, as well as communicating items within the request to the appraiser
    • Draft meaningful communications to appraiser that addresses all issues and/or concerns and establishes service level expectations
  • As needed, review Value Reconciliations and other value opinions to ensure superior quality
  • Point of contact for complex transactional escalations for internal staff as well as with vendors
  • Random Audits for clients
  • Actively participate in team and Valuation department meetings
  • Responsible for managing assigned reviews including production goals and standards to meet or exceed company standards
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Current Residential Appraiser license or higher with a minimum of five (5) years of residential experience
  • Ability to work well independently; self-motivated
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of appraisal concepts
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, internet search skills, and the ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to grasp new technology and computer applications quickly
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable working at a fast pace
  • Ability to work overtime (OT) when needed
  • Appraisal review experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate
  • National review experience a plus
  • Banking or lending background is a plus
  • Secondary market or portfolio evaluation experience a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Traditional office environment with low-to-moderate office noise (computers, phones, and business conversations)
