The Opportunity
Why This Role Matters
XaasIO is looking for a Cloud Management Platform Developer to work on the XaasIO CMP platform, our unified control plane for private cloud, hybrid cloud, infrastructure orchestration, automation, monitoring, backup, replication, and day-2 cloud operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong Ruby on Rails development experience, working knowledge of React, and exposure to distributed infrastructure platforms such as OpenStack, Kubernetes, and public cloud environments.
A CMP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining platforms that help organizations manage, monitor, and automate cloud infrastructure and services across environments (public, private, or hybrid cloud).
Your Day-to-Day Impact
- Platform Development
- Design and build cloud management platforms or modules
- Develop dashboards, portals, and APIs for cloud operations
- Work on UI/UX for self-service cloud provisioning
- Cloud Automation
- Automate provisioning of VMs, storage, and networks
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible
- Enable auto-scaling, monitoring, and cost optimization
- Integration
- Integrate CMP with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack)
- Connect with internal tools like HRMS, billing, ticketing systems
- Develop REST APIs for seamless integration
- Monitoring & Optimization
- Build monitoring tools for performance and usage
- Implement alerts and reporting systems
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization
- Security & Compliance
- Implement access controls and role-based permissions
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Maintain audit logs and security practices
Technical Skills Required
- Programming: Python, Java, JavaScript
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OpenStack
- DevOps tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins

- Works closely with DevOps, Cloud Engineers, and Infrastructure teams
- Builds self-service portals for employees/customers
- Helps reduce manual intervention through automation
- Plays a key role in digital transformation and cloud adoption
Skills You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- The candidate should have exposure to one or more of the following:
- OpenStack operations or API integrations
- Kubernetes operations or API integrations
- Public cloud operations such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Virtualization platforms such as KVM, VMware, Nutanix, or Hyper-V
- Backup platforms and backup API integrations
- Replication, disaster recovery, or business continuity platforms
- Infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management
- Monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards
- DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline workflows

- PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
- Ansible automation
- OpenTofu or Terraform

- Kubernetes operators, CRDs, Helm, and GitOps workflows

- Active GitHub profile, open-source contributions, sample projects, or demonstrable code portfolio
