About the role
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Opening and closing of work orders and segments via DBS system.
- Verify completion of service reports and proper forms.
- Review and analysis of work orders for accurate closing and warranty.
- Assist in directing incoming calls during regular hours.
- Issue vendor purchase orders for outside labor as well as reconciliation of invoices.
- Obtain and verify accuracy in processing technician work hours.
- Maintain reliable flow of communication between customer and all DSS personnel working on projects on and off site.
- Assist in additional special projects required by Expanded Mining.
- Able to work safely and comply with all WMC, OSHA, MSHA and other policies/regulations.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships, both internally and externally.
- Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a computer database.
- File and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in safety meetings.
- Provide progress updates to supervisor and on-site supervisors as needed/requested.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the Dealership, with customer and factory personnel via written, oral and electronic mediums.
- Possess sound computer skills and ability to operate dealership systems and software.
- Able to handle multiple large projects simultaneously and adapt to change.
PREFERRED
- Additional technical schooling or on-the-job, maintenance planning training.
- Minimum of two years’ of Caterpillar Dealer experience or maintenance experience in a similar work environment.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged sitting, standing, data entry and looking at computer screens.
- Use of all necessary personal protective equipment.
- May require travel, overtime and varying schedules.
