Responsibilities and Requirements:
PROCESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Understand data loss prevention (DLP) technologies and be able to configure and deploy DLP solutions
- Ability to monitor and analyze DLP alerts and investigate potential insider threats
- Knowledge of concepts related to data governance, data classification, and data protection
- Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and their integration with DLP solutions
- Experienced in analyzing user behavior, device activities, and data access patterns to detect anomalies and potential insider threats
- Ability to write custom rules and queries to enhance DLP solution capabilities
- Strong understanding of Windows, Unix, and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) technologies and their security controls
- Proficient in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, Bash to automate DLP-related tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate security incidents and provide recommendations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in IT security, preferably in data loss prevention or insider threat detection and response
- Strong hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-wide DLP solutions
- Familiarity with security frameworks and industry standards (NIST, ISO, GDPR, etc.)
- Certifications like CISSP, GIAC, or other relevant security certifications preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
