About the role
Job Summary:
An Architect I is a licensed architect who handles a wide range of assignments independently, with minimal supervision, applying standard architectural design skills to projects of moderate scope and complexity. The Architect I conducts analyses related to design, planning, and occupancy, and develops limited design layouts. They prepare project specifications by gathering and evaluating relevant data, produces reports and specifications, and reviews completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations. This position reports directly to the Principal of the Practice Area.
Duties:
•Participates in conceptual designs and provides full support through entire projects
•Plans and develops complex architectural projects from schematic design through construction administration.
•Liaises with Project Management, other architects, and consultants
•Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects
•Provides professional consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of small to moderate sized projects.

•Excellent design and artistic skills
•Creative and innovative mindset
•Strong communication skills with regards to consultants, contractors, project managers, and supervisors
•Exceptional visualization to bring ideas and pictures to life
•Team orientated
•Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Education:
•Professional Degree in Architecture
•Architectural license required
•Minimum (3-5) years of direct architectural experience
