Role Description The Writer role at Techno Billion AI is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. In this role, the Writer will create clear, engaging, and accurate content about AI, technology education, and the organization’s mission for diverse audiences, including students, professionals, and community stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting articles, blog posts, social media content, website copy, and educational materials; refining complex technical concepts into accessible language; and collaborating with educators, designers, and marketing team members to ensure consistent messaging. The Writer will research industry trends and AI developments, maintain an editorial calendar, and revise content based on feedback and performance metrics. The position calls for a proactive approach to storytelling and a commitment to supporting Techno Billion AI’s goal of making AI a household tool in India.
Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills, including experience in explanatory, educational, or technology-focused content.
- Ability to translate complex AI and technology topics into clear, concise, and accessible language for non-specialist audiences.
- Experience with content creation for digital platforms such as blogs, websites, newsletters, and social media.
- Solid research skills to gather, verify, and synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Understanding of basic content strategy and audience-focused communication.
- Excellent command of English; proficiency in additional Indian languages is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, including grammar, structure, and factual accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Interest in Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies, and technology-driven education initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
