Cherrypix Movies is a premier camera rental and post-production studio for digital cinema located in Kolkata, India. Since 2012, we have been supporting the Bengali film industry from our state-of-the-art facilities spanning 4000 square feet near Tollygunge. Our services include high-end digital film cameras (such as Alexa and RED), advanced visual post-production for color grading, editing, and animation/VFX, as well as 5.1 sound mixing in partnership with Dream Digital Inc. Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role for a Writer based at our Kolkata location. The Writer will be responsible for creating original and compelling narratives for film concepts, developing scripts, and contributing creative ideas during brainstorming sessions. They will conduct research, write, edit, and refine content to align with project requirements and collaborate closely with directors, producers, and creative teams to ensure content aligns with the studio’s vision. They will also assist with promotional materials and other content-writing needs as required.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Creative Writing, Story Development, and Scriptwriting
- Proficiency in Research, Editing, and Proofreading
- Experience in content creation for visual productions and an understanding of script formats
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional creative teams effectively
- Excellent verbal communication and storytelling abilities
- Familiarity with the filmmaking process and a passion for cinema and storytelling
- Degree in Literature, Creative Writing, Film Studies, Journalism, or a related field preferred
- Experience in media, digital content, or film industries will be an added advantage
