About the role
Objective
- Manage database systems including design, build, run, continuous improvement.
Activity
Database Administration
Install and configure the database servers according to the rules and standards specific to the customer's ecosystem and regulations, ensuring the required quality and respect of the deadlines.
Administrate the database management system.
Monitor the performance and the security of the data bases in scope.
Monitor and evaluate the data model to optimise the efficiency.
Install measures for data-loss such as 'restore' or 'recover'.
Intervene from time to time for product launches even outside of working hours and days.
Incident Management
Take charge of the diagnosis and resolution of incidents.
Manage day to day requests (Data base load, etc.).
Execute the requested changes.
Solve performance issues.
Database Security
Enhancement
Participate in the automation of our installation, updating and reloading processes for our databases.
Formulate optimisation proposals.
Documentation
Work with Architecture to define the standards and the possible evolutions.
Document the way to implement the standards in the area.
Monitor and evaluate the standards.
Promote the standards within the team and related departments.
Ensure proper use of standards in compliance with regulations.
Project Management
Work on strategic and complex projects with high stakes for Worldline and on their transition to production.
Work transversally with the other systems, network and operations entities on high value-added common subjects (virtualization, OpenShift, Ansible, etc.).
Build the recovery plan to anticipate any major incident and run regular disaster recovery tests.
