The Opportunity: Worldline Merchant Services provides a complete set of payment solutions to Public Transport Authorities, private mobility providers as well as system integrators. We have for customer most National Railways like SNCF, SNCB or Deutsch Bahn; Europe's largest cities (Paris, London, Madrid, Brussels, Milan, etc.) and provide the full range of services from payment terminals, payment gateways to acquiring. The Chief of Staff will plan and direct all administrative, financial and operational activities for the CEO. Organising and prioritising for the CEO and the management board critical issues and required information so that effective decision making can take place will be a key part of the role. The Chief of Staff will act as a coordinator between top management and other key stakeholders, while providing oversight and guidance on projects of high importance. Furthermore, a special focus on executive-level advising, project execution, and key interdepartmental collaboration will be required. In partnership with the leadership team, the Chief of Staff will problem-solve, create and look to identify areas for process improvements while perform quality control on selected initiatives. The Chief of Staff will champion a people-first culture and actively participate in senior management, board, and leadership meetings. Ultimately, the primary function of this role is to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout company operations for the executive leadership team. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Facilitating and overseeing meetings Dealing with all internal and external queries directed toward the CEO Representing the CEO at meetings and functions they cannot attend themselves Assisting executives with their tasks, including decision-making, project management and others as required Collaborating with and advising the CEO Acting as a liaison between executives and other relevant parties Assisting human resources with the hiring of new employees and overseeing their onboarding process Improving the company's ongoing processes and organising procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity Gathering departmental reports and compiling them into an appropriate format for presentation Meeting with the company's board of directors for business updates and requesting monthly or quarterly meetings with relevant other management personnel/teams Who Are We Looking For We look for big thinkers. In practice this means: You have strong Management experience You have prior experience in a Chief of Staff role You have experience of working in a regulated environment Your experience is in business management and/or as an executive assistant in a corporate setting You have a proven record of Process improvement experience and awareness You bring a Change management understanding and experience of leading change initiatives You have relevant industry experience preferable, i.e., previous track record in a similar industry You possess a Degree level qualification, with a Masters Degree desirable Languages: English required, French not essential, but may be beneficial Competencies/Skills you bring: Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills Excellent communicator in written and verbal form with a strong focus on interdepartmental communication Strong relationship building skills Confident decision maker and able to challenge where required Ability to organise and direct teams in multiple departments Strategic planning and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and prioritise important tasks over others Ability to analyse and compile a large amount of data and come up with conclusive results Ability to motivate Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities, and relationships Comfortable holding team members accountable to project deadlines and identifying areas in need of support Risk aware with experience of compliance activities within a regulatory business Behaviours you demonstrate: High level of Integrity Analytically minded with a methodical approach to problem solving and continuous improvement Results driven Can build trust and respect at all levels Vision – creative Gravitas to breed confidence internally Committed, motivated, enthusiastic, driven individual with a positive "can do" attitude.
