About the role

Our new Strategy envisions a World Bank Group that is more agile, responsive, and collaborative in supporting countries in addressing their development challenges. To support this vision, we are looking for a consultant to join the World Bank Group to provide support in the following areas: Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality, responsive and innovative advice and support to the World Bank Group on a range of matters including operations, knowledge, strategy, management, and other priority areas. - Undertake analytical and advisory work, including research, data analysis, report writing, and presentations. - Contribute to the design and implementation of development projects and programs. - Support coordination and collaboration across the World Bank Group (IBRD, IDA, IFC, MIGA, ICSID). - Assist with the preparation and organization of meetings, workshops, and events. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a relevant field such as economics, finance, development studies, public policy, business administration, or a related discipline. - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar consulting or advisory role, ideally in a development institution, international organization, or government. - Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling products. - Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and recommendations to diverse audiences. - Proficiency in using data analysis and visualization tools. - Strong interpersonal and client management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. - Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of other languages, especially French, Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese, is an advantage.
