Insolitude Associates is an remote architecture and design practice focused on creating practical, climate-responsive, and context-responsive solutions across residential, community, and housing projects. The studio works across architectural design, spatial planning, construction documentation, and project coordination, with a strong emphasis on clear and well-resolved drawings that support efficient construction. In addition to design services, Insolitude Associates also provides architectural drafting, detailing, and technical documentation support for architecture and engineering firms.
Alongside professional practice, the studio also organizes architecture skill workshops and training sessions aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world practice. These workshops focus on practical subjects such as architectural drafting and construction drawings, small house design, affordable housing strategies, practical AutoCAD for architecture, Revit foundations, and architecture portfolio development, providing students with exposure to workflows commonly used in professional practice.
Role Description
This is a freelance / workshop-based role for a Workshop Trainer / Associate – Architecture Skills Programs. The role involves preparing presentations, delivering seminars, and conducting training sessions for architecture and civil engineering students as part of the workshop initiatives organized by Insolitude Associates.
The trainer will assist in delivering sessions on topics such as architectural drafting, construction drawings, small house planning exercises, affordable housing concepts, and digital tools such as AutoCAD and Revit. The role includes guiding participants during hands-on exercises, explaining concepts clearly in a classroom or seminar setting, and helping create an engaging learning environment for students.
Prior full-time teaching experience is not required. Individuals who are comfortable presenting, explaining concepts, and training students through workshops or seminars are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Ability to conduct seminars, presentations, or training sessions for students
- Basic understanding of architectural drafting, construction drawings, or architectural practice
- Familiarity with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field (students in final year or recent graduates may also apply)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Interest in teaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
- Experience with small residential design or affordable housing concepts is a plus
