Our team combines precision, technical expertise, and problem-solving to deliver flooring solutions that are not only beautiful but built to last in high-traffic, demanding environments. As specialists with deep knowledge and a consultative approach, we take pride in executing complex projects with skill and care every step of the way.

Elements Core Values:

About the role:

As a Superintendent in Floorz, you’ll manage on-site flooring installation projects from kickoff to completion while maintaining quality standards, schedules, and efficient execution. You’ll coordinate and supervise skilled installation teams, manage evolving schedules, and resolve job-site issues in real time to keep things running smoothly. This role involves close work with clients, project managers, vendors, and general contractors to deliver outstanding results and a seamless project experience. If you can guide crews, communicate clearly with project partners, and solve job-site issues as they arise, we want to see you in action.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee on-site installation projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate and lead installation teams by managing schedules, solving problems on the fly, and keeping things running smoothly.
  • Verify that project conditions are ready for installation and comply with all manufacturer specifications and site requirements.
  • Confirm that our scope is aligned and integrated with other trades to avoid conflicts and ensure project success.
  • Ensure installers have the right materials and tools at the right time, and that all materials are handled and stored properly to prevent damage or waste.
  • Serve as the communication hub between general contractors, installers, and internal teams (Project Managers, Sales, Coordinators) by keeping everyone informed and aligned.
  • Attend key project meetings and site visits to stay ahead of issues and advocate for the success of your team.
  • Accurately document any extra work, materials, and labor needed beyond the original scope.
  • Champion safety on-site by promoting best practices and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Contribute to project profitability and client satisfaction by driving efficient operations and proactive problem-solving.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of experience as a foreman or superintendent, or equivalent leadership experience managing crews and job sites.
  • Experience in the flooring industry (2+ years preferred), with a solid understanding of installation techniques and materials.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships on and off the job site.
  • Manage multiple moving pieces, maintain accurate project details, and keep work organized and on track across concurrent job-site priorities.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet deadlines in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess challenges and take decisive action.
  • A proactive leadership approach, with sound judgment on when to delegate to keep projects moving and teams aligned.
  • Solid knowledge of safety regulations and job site procedures, with a commitment to promoting a safe and compliant work environment; OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
  • Comfortable using software and tools to track job progress and communication, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management platforms such as Procore or BIM 360 is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required. This is a strong plus for communicating with diverse field teams.
