Position: Workday Specialist/Systems Specialist
Location: Bangalore, India.
Full-time position – to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the functionality, upkeep, user support, and enhancement of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Workday Strategic Sourcing (SS) products.
• Collaborate with the Business Partner to gather, harmonize, and prioritize business requirements for Workday HCM Core, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, Talent Optimization, Absence, and Workday Strategic Sourcing (SS).
• Support cross-functional business process optimization.
• Facilitate the implementation of updates and new features in Workday across the global organization.
• Participate in the Workday HCM project over the next 6-12 months.
• Participate in the Workday SS project over the next 6 months.
• Lead training and deployment of Workday-based group solutions, ensuring they transition seamlessly to the production environment.
• Document configuration and deployment activities according to established change and release procedures. Continuously create and update all manuals to reflect current business processes.
• Contribute to the assignment of user authorizations, including role definitions, authorization profiles, and business processes.
• Understand the fundamentals of the Workday API.
• Assist with the implementation, development, and modification of Workday HCM and SS.
• Identify and test the impact of major releases and patches. Communicate these impacts to business stakeholders and implement necessary changes to maintain continuity.
• Provide support for integration (e.g. sftp, API) and reporting (custom reports and queries).
Your profile:
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience with Workday HCM and SS.
• Extensive expertise in configuring Workday HCM and SS, including full lifecycle implementation.
• Proficiency in Workday modules including HCM, Core, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Recruiting, Learning Management, and Talent Optimization.
• Proficiency in Workday Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management.
• Understanding of integrating Workday with third-party systems (e.g. Entra, SAP, Payroll).
• Thorough grasp of business processes in Human Resources and Strategic Procurement.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of the Workday API.
• Excellent customer focus and consulting skills for both internal and external clients
• Analytical and structured approach to work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within an international, multicultural team.
• Ability to work independently, with excellent organization and time management.
• Demonstrate integrity and maintain confidentiality.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio and Project.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written, at C1 - C2 level.
• Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Additional languages such as Portuguese, Spanish, German, or Mandarin are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel globally on an ad-hoc basis to support group-wide Workday initiatives.
