Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Consultant to support end-to-end implementation and configuration of the Workday Payroll module. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable Workday solutions, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and delivering high-quality support across all project phases.
This role requires strong functional expertise in Workday Payroll, along with a solid understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and integrations.
Key Responsibilities- Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, analyze, and document payroll-related business requirements and system specifications.
- Gap Analysis & Solution Design:
- Identify gaps between delivered functionality and business needs; recommend appropriate solutions, configurations, or workarounds.
- System Configuration:
- Perform end-to-end configuration of Workday Payroll, including Absence and Time Tracking modules.
- Testing & Validation:
- Conduct unit testing, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and perform data validation to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
- Implementation & Deployment:
- Support system deployment activities including migration, cutover, and go-live support.
- Client Training & Post-Go-Live Support:
- Provide functional training to end users and ensure ongoing support post implementation.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and project management to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications- 3–7 years of experience in Workday configuration and support
- Strong functional knowledge of:
- Workday Payroll
- Absence Management
- Time Tracking
- Hands-on experience in payroll configuration, compliance, and reporting
- Good understanding of US Payroll laws and regulations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Workday Payroll Certification (Mandatory)
Preferred / Nice to Have Skills- Experience with global payroll implementations and integrations
- Exposure to third-party payroll vendors
- Knowledge of:
- Workday Studio
- PECI (Payroll Effective Change Interface)
- EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder)
- Understanding of global payroll regulations
