Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of Workday modules including Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits,
- Compensation, Absence, and Time Tracking.
- Design, review, and execute test cases based on business requirements, functional design documents, and integration specifications.
- Conduct integration testing for Workday inbound and outbound interfaces, including:ADP Payroll – Workday integrationEquifax integration (employment / income verification, compliance reporting, etc.)
- 401(k) Benefits integration with workday that Validate data flows between Workday and third‑party systems, including eligibility, enrollments, deductions, contributions, and terminations.
- Perform payroll and benefits-related data reconciliation, ensuring accuracy across ADP and Vanguard systems.
- Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), End‑to‑End (E2E) testing, Regression Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Support parallel payroll testing and validate payroll outcomes between Workday and ADP.Verify integration artifacts such as EIB files, XML/flat files, reports, and error logs, and ensure proper error handling and retries.
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira, ALM, or similar, ensuring timely follow‑up and closure.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Integration Developers, Payroll, Benefits, and third‑party vendors to resolve testing issues.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation including test plans, test scenarios, test cases, defect logs, and test summary reports.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices.
Required Skills & QualificationsMandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in Workday Functional Testing.
- Good understanding of Workday HCM business processes.
- Hands‑on experience in integration testing, specifically:ADP Payroll integrationEquifax integration
- 401(k) / Retirement Benefits integration and other third party applications
- Experience validating benefits eligibility, enrollments, payroll deductions, and employer/employee contributions.
- Solid understanding of SIT, E2E, UAT, and regression testing methodologies.
- Technical & Tool SkillsExperience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, X‑Ray, Zephyr, ALM, etc.).
- Knowledge of Workday integration types such as EIB, Core Connectors, Studio (from a testing and validation perspective).
- Ability to analyze integration logs, reports, and error files.Exposure to API or data validation testing is a plus.
