Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Workday Core & Advanced Compensation Senior Analyst to support and optimize Workday compensation processes and related HR systems. The role will focus on configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the Workday Compensation module while partnering with HR, Compensation, and business stakeholders to deliver efficient and scalable solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong Workday Compensation expertise, hands-on experience with data management and EIB loads, and the ability to support testing, troubleshooting, and continuous system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve compensation-related service tickets, system enhancement requests, and process improvement initiatives within agreed timelines.
- Ensure all incidents, requests, and changes are properly documented, prioritized, tracked, and resolved efficiently.
- Perform employee and configuration data gathering, transformation, mapping, cleansing, and validation activities.
- Execute and monitor mass data loads using Workday EIB and other integration tools while ensuring data accuracy and error handling.
- Provide post-load validation, reconciliation, and support for data migration activities.
- Support annual compensation review cycles including merit planning, bonus planning, stock allocation, and related compensation activities.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday Core and Advanced Compensation modules.
- Configure and maintain compensation-related business processes, eligibility rules, compensation plans, and security configurations.
- Conduct system testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with HR, Compensation, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend system improvements.
- Provide end-user support and training to compensation teams, managers, and business users on Workday compensation functionalities and best practices.
- Monitor Workday releases and feature updates to identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimization.
- Maintain process documentation, test scripts, knowledge articles, and configuration documents.
- Mentor junior team members in Workday configuration, troubleshooting, and testing activities.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Overall 7-8yrs, relevant 3 to 5 years of hands-on Workday experience with strong expertise in:
- Workday Core Compensation
- Workday Advanced Compensation
- Experience in one or more additional Workday modules such as:
- HCM
- Recruiting
- Benefits
- Talent
- Absence Management
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes, security, and configuration.
- Hands-on experience with:
- EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder)
- Mass data loads
- Data transformation and validation
- Experience supporting testing activities including UAT and integration testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage escalations and handle stakeholder communication effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Workday release management and deployment activities.
- Experience with Workday reporting and calculated fields.
- Exposure to Workday integrations and data migration activities.
- Understanding of HR and Compensation business processes and best practices.
- Experience working in Agile or enterprise support environments.
