Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Workday Architect to provide technical architecture, design leadership, and solution direction across Workday implementations and integrations. The role will work closely with business, HR, functional, and technology stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and sustainable Workday solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture and solution design for Workday platforms and related integrations.
- Lead architecture and design for Workday HCM and/or relevant Workday modules.
- Design and govern complex Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs, and web services.
- Provide technical leadership across inbound and outbound integrations, data flows, security, reporting, and extensions.
- Evaluate existing Workday architecture and recommend improvements for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Lead technical discussions with HR, business, product, and engineering stakeholders.
- Define architecture standards, design patterns, integration frameworks, and technical best practices.
- Review technical designs, integration solutions, configurations, and code developed by Workday technical teams.
- Drive technical delivery across Workday implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Workday capabilities and emerging technologies to improve HR technology solutions.
- Support technical estimation, solution planning, vendor evaluation, and technology roadmap development.
- Mentor and guide Workday technical consultants and integration specialists.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–15 years of overall experience, with strong hands-on experience in Workday technology.
- Strong experience in Workday technical architecture, solution design, and integration architecture.
- Hands-on expertise in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services/APIs.
- Strong understanding of Workday integration patterns, data architecture, security, and reporting.
- Experience designing and implementing complex enterprise-level Workday integrations.
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM and related modules; experience across multiple Workday modules is preferred.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments / GCCs / global organizations.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience leading technical teams or providing technical direction to Workday consultants.
Good to Have
- Workday certifications in relevant technical areas.
- Experience with Workday Extend and modern Workday architecture.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, middleware, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies.
- Experience in global Workday transformation or implementation programs.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
