Job Title: Workday Adaptive Lead

Job Profile Summary
The Workday Adaptive Planning Techno-Functional Lead owns end-to-end delivery and ongoing optimization of Workday Adaptive Planning across planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytics. This role involves translating business needs into scalable models, designing data/integration architecture, ensuring governance and controls, and leading implementations, enhancements, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the full Adaptive lifecycle: discovery, requirements, solution design, build/configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Serve as the primary techno-functional SME for Adaptive Planning (Modeling, Sheets, Versions, Dimensions, Reports, Dashboards, and Security).
• Design scalable planning solutions for multi-entity, multi-currency, workforce planning, capex, revenue, expense, allocations, and scenario modeling.
• Define and enforce standards for model architecture, naming conventions, calculation logic, documentation, and change control.
• Build and maintain dashboards and management reporting to enable self-service insights.
• Partner with FP&A and business stakeholders to streamline planning cycles and reduce manual effort through automation and standardization.
• Own data strategy (master data, hierarchies, COA mapping, dimensionality, data quality and reconciliations to source systems).
• Design and manage integration between Adaptive and Workday including automation, monitoring and error handling.
• Provide user support and troubleshooting (triage, RCA, fixes and communication) to ensure system performance and user experience.
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years in Workday ecosystem with 4+ years hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning experience (implementation + support).
• Led at least one full Adaptive implementation (or major expansion) as a functional/techno-functional lead.
• Strong FP&A domain knowledge: budgeting/forecasting, management reporting, headcount planning, allocations, variance analysis.
• Experience in building multi-dimensional models (entities, cost centers, accounts, products, projects, etc.) and performance optimization.
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate between Finance stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strong core Finance knowledge, including General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, Expenses, Chart of Accounts, cost center structures, financial statements, month-end close, intercompany, and financial data reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Consolidations, including entity structures, eliminations, roll-forwards, and financial reporting dependencies across multi-entity environments.
Preferred Qualifications
• Workday Adaptive Planning certifications (Implementation/Admin).
• Experience integrating Adaptive with Workday Financials and/or HCM; familiarity with ETL, APIs, or scheduled file-based integrations.
• Experience in global/multi-country organizations, multi-currency planning, and shared services operating models.
• Freight forwarding/logistics industry experience.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
