Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site WordPress Developer role based in the Mohali district. The WordPress Developer will redesign, develop, and maintain WordPress-based website and web application, including custom themes and plugins that support Promark’s education-focused solutions. Responsibilities include translating design mockups into responsive, user-friendly interfaces, optimizing site performance, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, and implementing security best practices. The role also involves collaborating with designers, content teams, and product stakeholders to integrate new features, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing enhancements. The developer will regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins, manage backups, and contribute to improving the overall user experience for educators and learners.
Qualifications
- Strong front-end skills, including Front-End Development, Responsive Web Design, and Web Design.
- Someone who can take full ownership of the website of the company.
- Hands-on experience with Web Development and Back-End Web Development in a WordPress environment.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with experience customising WordPress themes and plugins.
- Knowledge of WordPress architecture, security best practices, and performance optimization.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration in agile or iterative workflows.
- Ability to debug and resolve technical issues, with strong attention to detail and code quality.
- Familiarity with SEO principles, accessibility standards, and cross-browser testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
