Role Overview:
The WordPress Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability. The ideal candidate has strong experience in WordPress development, plugin customization, theme development, and front-end/back-end integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and web applications.
- Create custom themes and plugins as per project requirements.
- Optimize websites for performance, speed, and security.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and content teams to deliver responsive and user-friendly websites.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Integrate third-party APIs and tools into WordPress websites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and errors.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, updates, and best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in WordPress development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and frameworks like Genesis or similar.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, web performance optimization, and security standards.
- Experience with Git version control and staging/production workflow.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
