We're Hiring: WordPress Developer
IT By Design (ITBD) is looking for a hands-on WordPress developer who's equally comfortable inside Elementor and writing raw code — someone who builds fast, uses AI tools daily, and can turn a design file into a pixel-perfect live page.
This isn't a "drag a block, publish" role. You'll troubleshoot and extend our existing hard-coded site, ship custom HTML/CSS/JS/PHP where Elementor falls short, and use AI-assisted dev tools to move quickly without cutting corners.
What You'll Do
📌 Build new pages/sections in WordPress/Elementor matching design intent exactly
📌 Write & maintain custom HTML, CSS, JS, PHP
📌 Edit and extend our existing hard-coded site without breaking it
📌 Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Bolt, Replit, etc.) to prototype and ship faster
📌 Optimize for page speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness
📌 Implement technical SEO fundamentals (schema, meta, clean URLs, architecture)
📌 Set up & troubleshoot forms/integrations/tracking (HubSpot, GA4, GTM)
📌 Work directly with marketing & design to turn Figma files into live pages
📌 Own site security, backups, plugin updates, performance hygiene
What You Bring
✅ 6–8 years hands-on WordPress dev experience — real Elementor + custom-code hybrid projects
✅ Strong HTML, CSS, JS, PHP — comfortable modifying someone else's code, not just building fresh
✅ Practical, current experience with AI coding tools in a real workflow
✅ Experience with complex, multi-page marketing/corporate sites (not brochure sites)
✅ Working knowledge of performance optimization and basic technical SEO
✅ Familiarity with marketing tool integrations (HubSpot, form plugins, analytics/tag managers)
✅ Sharp eye for visual detail — can match a design exactly
✅ Can work independently, own the site, and communicate clearly with a non-technical marketing team
✅ Exposure to headless WordPress or API-driven builds
Nice to Have
➕ Custom Elementor widgets or theme development
➕ Basic Webflow (or similar modern builder) knowledge
➕ B2B/SaaS marketing environment experience
