We are seeking a skilled and proactive WordPress Developer to design, implement, and maintain high-performing websites for our clients. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating custom themes and plugins, optimizing site speed, and ensuring robust security. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for aesthetics, a strong understanding of user experience, and the technical expertise to turn design mockups into functional, responsive websites.
Responsibilities
- Website Development: Design and build new WordPress websites from concept to launch.
- Customization: Create and customize WordPress themes and plugins using best practices.
- Front-End Development: Convert PSD/Figma layouts into responsive, user-friendly HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript pages.
- Back-End Management: Handle database and server integration, ensuring optimal CMS functionality.
- Performance & Security: Optimize site performance for speed and scalability, and implement security protocols to protect against threats.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular updates, backups, and troubleshoot bugs to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Work with designers, content creators, and clients to align technical solutions with project requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of projects.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Deep understanding of WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with website builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Kadence, Gutenberg, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with WooCommerce, LMS, or membership sites.
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, etc.).
