About The Role
This is a remote position for a WordPress Developer at RedBlackNode. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing WordPress websites tailored to client specifications. Your role will involve designing custom themes, implementing responsive and user-friendly designs, optimizing website functionalities, and integrating various plugins or web technologies to ensure seamless performance. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with our team to understand project requirements, provide innovative solutions, and deliver scalable, high-quality websites that meet or exceed client expectations. As this role is commission-based, compensation will be directly tied to your project contributions and performance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Front-End Development, including Responsive Web Design and Web Design principles
- Experience in Back-End Web Development and creating dynamic, scalable applications
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, particularly WooCommerce, is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in remote team environments, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and reusable code
- Understanding of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications and project goals.
Implement responsive designs ensuring optimal performance across all devices and browsers.
Optimize website speed, security, and overall functionality through best practices and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver cohesive and scalable solutions.
Integrate third-party plugins and tools, including e-commerce solutions like WooCommerce, to enhance website capabilities.
Conduct regular testing and debugging to ensure websites are functioning correctly and efficiently.
Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
Assist in client communication, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
