About The Role
We are seeking a talented and dedicated WordPress Developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing WordPress websites tailored to client specifications. Your primary tasks will include designing custom themes, implementing responsive and user-friendly designs, optimizing website performance, and integrating various plugins and web technologies to extend functionality. You will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions that align with client objectives. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from small business websites to complex e-commerce platforms, with compensation based on commission, reflecting your skills and contributions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in front-end development, including responsive web design and user interface design principles.
- Experience in back-end web development and building dynamic, scalable applications.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, particularly WooCommerce, is considered an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in remote team environments, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and reusable code.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques to improve site visibility and performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize WordPress themes to meet client specifications and branding requirements.
- Implement responsive and mobile-friendly website designs to ensure optimal user experience across devices.
- Integrate and configure plugins, widgets, and other web technologies to enhance website functionality.
- Optimize website performance, including page load times and overall responsiveness, through best practices and code optimization.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Maintain and update existing WordPress websites, ensuring security patches and updates are applied promptly.
- Conduct testing and debugging to resolve issues and improve website stability and performance.
- Stay current with the latest WordPress developments, tools, and industry trends to continually improve skills and project quality.
