About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HTML5 and PHP, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins. This role involves collaborating closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver high-quality, responsive websites that meet client specifications. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure optimal website performance, security, and user experience.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in WordPress development, with a deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including themes, plugins, and custom post types. Proficiency in HTML5, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript is essential. Experience with responsive web design, mobile-first approach, and cross-browser compatibility is required. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, as well as MySQL database management and optimization, is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, and websites aligned with client requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using HTML5, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to enhance functionality and meet specific needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
- Collaborate with designers, content teams, and other developers to deliver cohesive and engaging digital experiences.
- Ensure websites are fully responsive and optimized for various devices and browsers.
- Perform regular website maintenance, updates, and security patches.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other external services.
- Work extensively with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), WooCommerce, and other popular WordPress plugins.
- Maintain website security protocols and apply necessary updates to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
- Manage and optimize MySQL databases to ensure efficient data handling and performance.
