About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HTML5 and PHP, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality, responsive websites that meet client specifications. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to create seamless digital experiences that enhance our clients’ online presence.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development, with a deep understanding of the ecosystem, including themes, plugins, and custom post types. Proficiency in HTML5, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript is essential. Experience with building responsive, mobile-first websites is required, along with familiarity with version control systems like Git. A strong knowledge of MySQL and database management will enable you to optimize website performance effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are vital to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include building and maintaining custom WordPress themes, plugins, and websites tailored to client needs. You will write clean, maintainable code using HTML5, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring websites are fully responsive across various devices and browsers. Customizing existing themes and plugins to align with client requirements is key, along with troubleshooting and resolving website issues to guarantee optimal performance and security. You will implement SEO best practices to enhance website visibility and collaborate closely with designers, content teams, and other developers to deliver cohesive digital solutions.
Additional duties involve performing regular website maintenance, updates, and security patches, integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways, and working with popular WordPress plugins such as Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and WooCommerce. Maintaining website security, applying necessary updates, and optimizing MySQL databases to improve performance will also be part of your role. You are expected to stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools to continually improve the quality and efficiency of your work.
