About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Developer with a strong foundation in HTML5 and PHP to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing, customizing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites, themes, and plugins tailored to our clients’ needs. The ideal candidate should possess at least three years of hands-on experience working within the WordPress ecosystem, demonstrating proficiency in coding, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices for website performance, security, and responsiveness.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of professional experience in WordPress development, with expertise in HTML5 and PHP. A solid understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and custom post types is essential. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is required, along with experience in building responsive, mobile-first websites. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, as well as strong knowledge of MySQL and database management, is also necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, and websites to meet client specifications.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using HTML5, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Customize existing themes and plugins to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compatibility across browsers and devices.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and ranking.
- Collaborate closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Ensure websites are fully responsive, accessible, and optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
- Perform regular website maintenance, updates, and security patches.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other external services to extend website capabilities.
- Work with advanced tools such as Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), WooCommerce, and other popular WordPress plugins.
- Maintain website security protocols and implement necessary updates to prevent vulnerabilities.
- Manage and optimize MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
