About the Role
We are looking for a Senior WordPress Frontend Developer to lead the development of high-quality, scalable, and performance-driven WordPress websites for our agency clients. You will be responsible for implementing advanced WordPress themes, guiding frontend architecture, and ensuring best practices in performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
You will collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and project managers to deliver robust WordPress solutions across multiple projects.
Work Mode: 3 months onsite (Ahmedabad) → Full-time Remote thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement custom WordPress themes and frontend functionality
- Guide frontend architecture and development standards for WordPress projects
- Translate UI/UX designs, wireframes, and prototypes into responsive WordPress themes
- Ensure high performance, availability, and scalability of WordPress websites
- Optimize applications and websites for maximum speed and performance
- Work closely with backend developers on API integrations and complex functionalities
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced frontend and WordPress issues
- Implement best practices for WordPress security, performance, and scalability
- Work on WooCommerce implementations and third-party integrations
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Extensive experience building responsive WordPress websites and web applications
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, theme development, and plugin integration
- Experience working with WordPress multisite and multilingual implementations
- Proficiency with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector, Firebug, and browser developer tools
- Ability to convert complex UI layouts and wireframes into working HTML/WordPress themes
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON/XML data
- Strong knowledge of SASS, LESS, Bootstrap, and CSS Grid systems
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, or Mercurial)
- Understanding of PHP backend development within WordPress
- Experience working on WooCommerce projects
- Experience integrating third-party services on WordPress websites
- Experience working with multiple WordPress themes such as Astra, Avada, Divi, Bridge, X-Theme, Engage, and GeneratePress
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in WordPress frontend development
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on large-scale or agency-driven WordPress projects
- Strong understanding of WordPress performance optimization
- Experience mentoring developers and reviewing code
