About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive WordPress / WooCommerce Lead (E-commerce & SEO Specialist) to oversee and enhance our online store. This full-time, remote position is critical to our digital growth, requiring a strategic thinker who is also hands-on with technical execution. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of our WordPress platform, ensuring a seamless, high-performing, and conversion-focused user experience. This role involves managing website development, optimizing for search engines, implementing e-commerce strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align digital initiatives with business goals. The position includes travel requirements, with visits to our Delhi office and Assam factory twice a month each, to facilitate strategic planning and operational coordination.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 1 year of experience working with WordPress and WooCommerce, demonstrating a strong understanding of modern WordPress themes and page builders like Elementor. Experience with SEO plugins and e-commerce tools is essential, along with basic knowledge of HTML/CSS. Candidates should have a solid grasp of online sales strategies, conversion optimization, and product catalog management. Additional preferred skills include familiarity with Linux-based VPS hosting, caching, CDN, and website performance optimization tools. Strong English communication skills, the ability to work independently in a remote environment, and ownership mindset are crucial. Candidates must own a reliable laptop and internet connection and be willing to travel regularly as per the role's requirements.
Responsibilities
Website Management & Development: Regularly update and manage the WordPress website, including landing pages, product pages, and static content. Maintain responsive design across devices, optimize site structure, navigation, and overall performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
WooCommerce Store Management: Upload and manage products with detailed descriptions, pricing, variations, and images. Keep product catalogs aligned with inventory and sales strategies. Configure WooCommerce settings such as shipping, taxes, and payment gateways. Implement pricing strategies like MOQ, bulk discounts, and role-based pricing to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
Advanced WordPress Features: Utilize Elementor for page building, including creating mega menus and advanced layouts. Work with in-house plugins for MOQ-based pricing, alerts for special offers, advanced coupon logic, and SEO optimization. Troubleshoot plugin and functionality issues promptly.
SEO Implementation: Optimize website pages using best SEO practices, including meta tags, URLs, headings, and internal linking. Monitor and improve search rankings, indexing, and overall site visibility using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console.
E-commerce Strategy: Enhance conversion rates through improved UX, structured content, upselling, cross-selling, and campaign-specific landing pages. Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional activities effectively.
Image Optimization: Perform basic image editing and optimization for web use, ensuring fast loading times and consistent quality across the site.
Performance & Server Optimization (Preferred): Monitor and improve website speed and uptime by optimizing caching, database performance, and CDN usage. Work with Linux-based VPS environments for basic performance tuning.
Collaboration & Travel: Attend strategic meetings in Delhi and Assam twice a month each. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure website initiatives align with overall business objectives.
