Role Description This full-time Senior PHP Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Senior PHP Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust back-end systems and web applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient PHP code, implementing and optimizing APIs, working with databases, and integrating third-party services. The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, reviewing code, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to architecture and technical design decisions. The Senior PHP Engineer will also participate in requirements analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of development practices.
Qualifications
- PHP 8+ AND Laravel Experience
- 5-8yrs of overall experience.
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development using PHP and related frameworks, with experience building scalable web applications.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development across the full lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
- Advanced Programming skills in PHP and related technologies, with a focus on writing maintainable and efficient code.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and patterns applied to real-world projects.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL/PostgreSQL), RESTful APIs, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, collaborate effectively with distributed teams, and mentor less experienced developers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
- Experience with modern PHP frameworks (such as Laravel or Symfony), cloud platforms, and security best practices is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and readiness to join immediately or within a short notice period.
