About The Role
The R75540 Manager, Digital Marketing at Lonza is a pivotal role within our digital content and product information management team. Based in Hyderabad, India, this position is primarily office‑focused, supporting close collaboration and alignment across teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality ecommerce experiences. The role involves overseeing product content governance, taxonomy, and digital assets within the bioscience sector, with a specific focus on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris). This manager will be responsible for maintaining product information standards, ensuring consistency across markets, and supporting localization efforts. The role combines hands-on management with strategic governance, requiring a detailed understanding of product data, taxonomy, and digital asset management. Collaborating closely with Technology, Marketing, and Regional teams, the manager will ensure content integrity, platform readiness, and operational efficiency, ultimately contributing to the seamless presentation of our bioscience products in the digital space.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong background in digital content management and product information governance, preferably within the life sciences or regulated industries. Essential qualifications include experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and PIM/PCM systems, along with a solid understanding of product taxonomy, attributes, and enrichment rules. Experience managing digital asset management platforms such as Picturepark or Fotoware is also required. Candidates should have a good grasp of product data quality standards, validation processes, and content QA procedures. Basic HTML or markup skills are necessary for minor content adjustments. Additionally, the ability to work effectively cross-functionally with technology and business teams is crucial. Preferred qualifications include experience supporting multi-market ecommerce, SEO, SAP ERP, and familiarity with Google Analytics and GTM tools. A background in life sciences, biotech, or regulated industries is advantageous but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Own and govern product information management (PIM/PCM) within SAP Commerce Cloud, ensuring data standards, enrichment rules, and lifecycle management are maintained for accuracy and consistency across the product catalog.
- Develop and maintain standards for product titles, descriptions, imagery, naming conventions, and controlled vocabularies to enhance content quality and uniformity.
- Coordinate with product managers, creative teams, and ecommerce stakeholders to address content gaps, imagery needs, taxonomy issues, and SKU readiness, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.
- Conduct regular audits of product content and digital assets to identify and rectify gaps in copy, classification, metadata, and asset coverage, maintaining high standards of content completeness and accuracy.
- Manage and govern product taxonomy, category structures, and classification standards to optimize findability, navigation, SEO, and scalable catalog growth.
- Lead digital asset governance within DAM platforms, ensuring metadata standards, asset readiness, and compliance with ecommerce usage policies.
- Implement and enforce product data quality standards through validation and pre-publish checks, guaranteeing content is complete, accurate, and ready for publication.
- Coordinate localization efforts by working with regional teams to ensure content meets global standards while supporting local market requirements.
- Perform quality assurance on CMS and product content, validating taxonomy alignment, asset associations, metadata completeness, and adherence to standards prior to publication.
- Make minor HTML or markup adjustments within SAP Commerce Cloud to support content presentation, SEO, and accessibility, adhering to governed templates and standards.
- Collaborate with Technology, Marketing, and Ecommerce teams to support system enhancements, data model changes, DAM integrations, and workflow improvements.
- Evaluate the impact of product content and taxonomy on platform performance, working with technical teams to implement scalable, performance-safe content updates.
- Utilize tools like Google Analytics and GTM to identify opportunities for content and platform optimization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the continuous improvement of digital content processes and standards.
