About Remoasset
Remoasset is building the infrastructure layer for global IT operations. We help companies procure, deploy, retrieve, warehouse, repair, and manage laptops and IT assets across more than 75 countries through a single platform.
We’re an early-stage, venture-backed startup with paying customers across multiple countries, growing revenue, and a small but ambitious team. We’re looking for our first engineering leader who will build the engineering organization alongside the founder.
About the Role
This is not a maintenance role.
We’re looking for someone who wants to build an engineering organization from the ground up.
You’ll own engineering strategy, system architecture, technical execution, hiring, engineering culture, and delivery. Initially, you’ll be hands-on while also leading the team, gradually transitioning into building and scaling the engineering organization.
You will report directly to the Founder & CEO and play a key role in shaping the future of the company.
Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead the engineering team and establish a high-performance engineering culture.
- Define engineering processes, coding standards, development workflows, and release management.
- Mentor engineers through technical reviews, career development, and regular feedback.
- Recruit, interview, and build a world-class engineering team.
- Drive accountability, execution, and engineering excellence.
Technical Leadership
- Own the overall technical architecture and long-term technology roadmap.
- Make key decisions around scalability, reliability, security, and infrastructure.
- Review system design and ensure the platform is built for global scale.
- Lead architecture discussions and establish engineering best practices.
- Identify technical debt and create plans to eliminate it without slowing product delivery.
Product Execution
- Work closely with the Founder, Product, Operations, Procurement, and Customer Success teams.
- Convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Prioritize engineering work based on customer impact and business value.
- Balance rapid execution with long-term platform stability.
Delivery
- Own engineering timelines and product delivery.
- Improve development velocity while maintaining high code quality.
- Build reliable deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes.
- Ensure engineering commitments are delivered on time.

What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
- Strong experience building and scaling SaaS products.
- Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of React, Next.js, Node.js, and NestJS.
- Experience designing distributed systems and scalable cloud architectures.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, security, and system design.
- Experience building APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Ability to make technical decisions while balancing speed and quality.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities evolve quickly.
Nice to Have
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, IT asset management, or enterprise SaaS.
- Experience working with event-driven architectures.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability.
- Experience building products used across multiple countries.
- Experience working with AI-assisted development tools and engineering automation.
