Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Mechanical Design Engineer will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for products such as sensors, controllers, and instrument clusters, ensuring reliability and manufacturability. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and refining 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD tools, performing design calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in electronics, software, and manufacturing. The role involves conducting design reviews, supporting prototyping and testing activities, addressing design changes based on validation feedback, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documentation, and cost-effective design solutions across Synedyne’s product lines.
Experience: 1 – 3 Years
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in mechanical/product design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360.
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience in designing mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and 3D printing.
- Basic understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams during product development.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
