Role Description The Senior Snowflake Data Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurgaon, India. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines on Snowflake, ensuring reliable data ingestion, transformation, and storage to support analytics and business intelligence for multiple startups. Day-to-day tasks include architecting and optimizing data models, implementing ETL processes, managing data warehousing environments, and collaborating with product, engineering, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions. The Senior Snowflake Data Engineer will monitor data quality and performance, implement best practices for security and governance, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers.
Qualifications
- Strong data engineering skills, including experience with Snowflake and modern data stack tools.
- Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing to design efficient, scalable structures.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and orchestration tools.
- Ability to work with data analytics teams, enabling reliable reporting, dashboards, and insights.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with a programming language such as Python or Scala.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data pipeline frameworks.
- Experience applying data security, governance, and performance optimization best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
