This is a project based opportunity for Freelancers/Independent Consultants.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the CRM platform and its integrations with internal and external systems, under the guidance of the CRM Solution Architect.
Key Responsibilities:
CRM Development (Vtiger)
- Develop and maintain custom modules within Vtiger CRM
- Build and enhance business workflows, automation rules, and approval processes
- Customise user interfaces, layouts, and business objects
- Extend CRM functionality through custom PHP development
- Implement role-based access controls and data security configurations
- Support CRM upgrades and release deployments
Integration Development
- Design and develop integrations between Vtiger and external systems
- Build and consume REST APIs
- Develop middleware services supporting digital lending processes
- Support integrations with:
- – Loan Management Systems (LMS)
- – Credit Bureau services
- – KYC providers
- – Payment gateways
- – Notification platforms
- – Data warehouses
- Ensure data consistency across systems
Apache Kafka Development
- Design and develop Kafka producers and consumers
- Create event-driven integrations and real-time data pipelines
- Define topics, schemas, and message standards
- Support event streaming to Snowflake and reporting platforms
- Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka messaging flows
Identity & Security (Keycloak)
- Configure and support Keycloak authentication services
- Implement Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Integrate OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML providers
- Support role-based and attribute-based access controls
- Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements
Database Development
- Design and optimise MySQL database schemas
- Create stored procedures, views, and queries
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks
- Ensure data quality and integrity
DevOps & Platform Support
- Support containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Participate in CI/CD processes
- Monitor application performance and system health
- Troubleshoot production incidents and integration issues
- Maintain technical documentation
Skills Required:
- 4 - 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer for designing, developing, and supporting the CRM platform and its integrations
- Strong PHP development experience
- Vtiger CRM Experience: Custom modules, workflows, web services, administration
- MySQL: Query optimisation, indexing, schema design
- Apache Kafka: Producers, consumers, topics, event streaming
- REST APIs: API design and integration
- Keycloak: OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SSO
- Git: GitLab / GitHub
- Linux: Administration, logs, troubleshooting
- Kubernetes: Basic deployment and troubleshooting
