Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Designer in the furniture factory industry, based in Panaji. The Junior Designer will support the development of furniture concepts, assist in creating detailed drawings and specifications, and collaborate with senior designers and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with manufacturing processes. Daily tasks include translating design briefs into practical furniture solutions, preparing sketches or digital models, coordinating with carpenters and factory staff, and helping to maintain design standards and quality. The role also involves basic material selection, understanding production constraints, and contributing ideas to improve product aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality.
Qualifications
- Ability to work with Furniture Design and general Furniture concepts, including styles, materials, and construction methods.
- Foundational knowledge of Carpentry practices and their application in furniture manufacturing.
- Skills in Interior Design to understand spatial requirements and how furniture fits into overall layouts.
- Experience or training in Product Design, focusing on user needs, usability, and visual appeal.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency with design tools (e.g., CAD software, 2D/3D modeling) and hand sketching.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to learn in a factory environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, carpenters, and production staff.
- Ability to work on-site in Panaji and adapt to a fast-paced, manufacturing-focused setting.
- Salary Is Upto 30K
