Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Manual Designer role located in Mumbai. The Manual Designer will create detailed hand-drawn jewelry designs, translating conceptual ideas into accurate sketches and technical drawings for production. Responsibilities include collaborating with design and production teams, refining designs based on feedback, and ensuring that drawings clearly represent dimensions, materials, and stone settings. The role involves researching trends in jewelry design, maintaining an organized portfolio of designs, and working closely with artisans to align design intent with final products. The Manual Designer will also assist in developing new collections, updating existing designs, and ensuring that all work meets brand standards and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong manual sketching and drawing skills with the ability to create precise, detailed jewelry illustrations.
- Good understanding of jewelry design principles, materials, gemstones, and common manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to translate creative concepts into clear technical drawings that can be used by craftsmen and production teams.
- Attention to detail, strong sense of aesthetics, and ability to balance creativity with practicality in design.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with designers, artisans, and other team members on-site.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple design projects, maintain design records, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Prior experience as a manual jewelry designer or similar role in the jewelry industry is preferred.
- Relevant education in jewelry design, fine arts, or a related field is an advantage.
