Role Description The Legal Assistant will support attorneys and legal consultants in delivering timely and accurate legal services to clients. This full-time, on-site role is based in Mumbai and involves assisting with legal research, drafting, case updates and formatting legal documents, and maintaining organized case files and records. Daily responsibilities include managing calendars, scheduling client meetings and hearings, and coordinating communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. The Legal Assistant will prepare and review documents for accuracy, support debt collection and corporate matters, and assist with documentation related to litigation, arbitration, and compliance. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to confidentiality, and proactive administrative support in a fast-paced, international legal environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Law and practical exposure as Legal Assistants.
- Candidates should possess strong Legal Document Preparation skills, including drafting, formatting, and reviewing legal documents.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for interaction with clients, courts, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess solid Administrative Assistance skills, including scheduling, file management, and record keeping.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in law or a related discipline, or a recognized legal assistant/paralegal certification.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and legal document management software; familiarity with litigation and corporate workflows is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple matters, and maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
