About The Opportunity

About Your Role
As an Analyst, you will use data and statistical techniques to solve business problems, generate insights and support decision-making.
This is a broad analytics role covering exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, customer and business segmentation, predictive modelling, insight generation and business intelligence automation.
You will work as part of a cross-functional team alongside analysts, data scientists, data engineers, Power BI developers and business stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical thinking to apply the most appropriate analytical approach to each business problem, recognising that machine learning is one of several tools available and may not always be the most suitable solution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Insights and Decision Support
Translate business questions into clear hypotheses and analytical approaches.
Analyse customer, commercial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and performance drivers.
Explain what happened, why it happened and recommend actions.
Create clear data stories, visualisations and presentations for business and senior stakeholders.
Measure business outcomes and the value delivered through analytics, Advanced Analytics & Data Science
Conduct exploratory data analysis to assess data quality, identify trends, and develop and test hypotheses.
Conduct exploratory data analysis, segmentation, forecasting and predictive modelling using Python and SQL as the primary tools for data extraction, analysis, feature engineering and model development.
Develop, validate and evaluate statistical and machine learning models where appropriate, considering performance, interpretability and business value.
Partner with engineering and technology teams to operationalise, monitor and maintain analytical solutions.
Document methodologies, assumptions, limitations and findings.
Analytics Products, Visualisation and Automation
Define analytical requirements, KPIs, business rules and calculation logic for dashboards and analytical products.
Partner with Power BI developers to deliver effective reporting and visualisation solutions.
Validate dashboard outputs and support user acceptance testing to ensure analytical accuracy and business alignment.
Automate recurring analyses and manual processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Maintain documentation of analytical logic, data sources and assumptions, Collaboration
and Delivery
Collaborate across analytics, data science, engineering, visualisation and business teams to deliver analytical solutions.
Participate in Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, demonstrations and retrospectives.
Communicate progress, dependencies, analytical limitations and delivery risks clearly.
Contribute to reusable analytical assets, coding standards and team best practices.
About You
You are an analytical professional with strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, capable of translating business questions into data-driven insights. You are comfortable working with complex datasets, identifying meaningful patterns and communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You have experience applying a range of analytical techniques, including statistical analysis, segmentation, data visualisation and machine learning, selecting the most appropriate approach for the problem at hand.
Experience & Qualifications required:
Bachelor's or master's degree in data science and Analytics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Approximately 3–5 years of experience in data science, customer and business analytics or a related analytical role. Hands-on experience analysing large or complex datasets and translating analysis into business insights. Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational or cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake. Proficiency in Python for data analysis, statistical analysis or machine learning. Working knowledge of statistical concepts and machine-learning techniques, including model development and evaluation. Experience in developing dashboards or analytical visualisations using Power BI, Tableau or an equivalent platform. Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to select an appropriate analytical approach for a business question. Experience working collaboratively with business stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams. Understanding of data quality, analytical controls and documentation requirements.
Desirable Experience and Skills
Experience in Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer or Operational Analytics.
Experience In Financial Services Or Another Regulated Industry.
Experience with Snowflake, AWS or SageMaker.
Knowledge of Power BI data modelling and DAX.
Experience with Agile delivery and Jira.
Familiarity with Git or another version-control tool.
Exposure to Generative AI, large language models or agentic workflows.
Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph or MLOps concepts.
