Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Presales Engineer role based in Chennai/Coimbatore/Madurai. The Presales Engineer will collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, design appropriate networking solutions, and prepare technical proposals, bill of materials, and solution architectures. The role involves conducting product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept activities for prospective customers and partners. Daily responsibilities include providing technical guidance on D-Link’s portfolio (Switching, Wireless, Cloud, and Structured Cabling), responding to RFPs/RFQs, and ensuring solutions are aligned with customer needs and industry best practices. The Presales Engineer will also support post-sales handover to implementation teams, maintain up-to-date product and technology knowledge, and contribute to training sessions and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Presales and Sales skills, including solution consulting, proposal creation, and support for the sales cycle.
- Candidates should possess solid Technical Support skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, resolve technical queries, and assist customers and partners effectively.
- Candidates should possess Integration skills to design and validate end-to-end solutions that combine Switching, Wireless, and Structured cabling Solutions.
- Candidates should possess Security-related skills to address network security considerations and recommend secure architectures and configurations.
- Good understanding of networking technologies (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, VLANs, VPNs) and familiarity with cloud-based network management platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, and partner teams, manage multiple opportunities, and meet timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, vendor-specific) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a presales,Networking Engineer, solution engineering, or technical consulting role within networking or IT infrastructure is preferred.
