Position - Fashion Designer – Athleisure Wear
Location : Tiruppur
Department Design & Product Development
About the Company We are a leading organization with an annual turnover of over ₹800 crore, known for delivering quality products and building trusted brands across our industry. As part of our strategic growth, we are launching a dedicated Athleisure Wear Division focused on creating innovative, stylish, and performance-driven apparel for modern consumers. We are looking for a passionate and creative Fashion Designer to play a key role in building this new business from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
• Research global and domestic fashion, athleisure, sportswear, and lifestyle trends.
• Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and design stories.
• Create original apparel designs aligned with the brand vision and customer preferences.
• Prepare detailed technical sketches, tech packs, and specifications for production.
• Select fabrics, trims, prints, graphics, and embellishments suitable for athleisure products.
• Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, sampling, and production teams to ensure timely product development.
• Work closely with vendors and manufacturers during sample development and fit approvals.
• Conduct garment fit sessions and recommend improvements for comfort, functionality, and aesthetics.
• Stay updated on innovations in performance fabrics, sustainable materials, and garment technologies.
• Ensure products meet quality, functionality, cost, and commercial objectives.
• Support product launches and seasonal collection presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Fashion Design from NIFT, Pearl Academy, NID, or an equivalent institute.
• 3–8 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in athleisure, sportswear, or activewear.
• Fresh ideas with a strong understanding of fashion trends and consumer behavior.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Knowledge of CorelDRAW is an advantage.
• Understanding of garment construction, pattern making, fabric properties, and manufacturing processes. • Ability to prepare professional tech packs and specification sheets.
