Job Description
Wipro is looking for a highly skilled Principal Scientist / Principal Engineer to architect, build, and scale production-grade Agentic AI, Generative AI, and RAG platforms. This hands-on leadership role combines AI architecture, platform engineering, and technical innovation to deliver secure, scalable, and enterprise-ready AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect enterprise-scale Agentic AI, GenAI, and RAG solutions.
- Design planning, reasoning, memory, tool-calling, and evaluation frameworks.
- Optimize AI platforms for scalability, latency, throughput, reliability, and cost.
- Develop reusable AI frameworks using Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, AutoGen, and CrewAI.
- Establish MLOps, LLMOps, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and governance standards.
- Lead production debugging, incident resolution, and architecture reviews.
- Implement OpenTelemetry, Datadog, dashboards, alerts, and monitoring frameworks.
- Build evaluation frameworks including regression testing, A/B testing, and controlled rollouts.
- Mentor engineering teams and drive engineering excellence across programs.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, Platform, and SRE teams to deliver enterprise AI solutions.
Essential Technical Expertise (Mandatory)
- 7–15 years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience building enterprise Generative AI solutions.
- 2+ years of experience designing and deploying Agentic AI systems.
- Expert in Python (3.11+), AsyncIO, Packaging, Testing, and Performance Optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
- Strong expertise in LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, Vector Databases, and AI Platform Engineering.
- Experience deploying GenAI solutions using AWS Bedrock, OpenSearch, Pinecone, Redis, or similar platforms.
- Deep understanding of AWS services including EKS, S3, SQS/SNS, RDS, ElastiCache, Secrets Manager, IAM, and API Gateways.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, MLOps, LLMOps, Observability, and Cloud-native architectures.
Academic Excellence (Mandatory)͏
- Bachelor’s or Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Technology, or a related discipline from a top-tier institutes such as IIT, IISc, NIT, BITS, MIT, Stanford, CMU, ETH, NUS, NTU, or equivalent.
Research & Innovation Credentials (Preferred)
- Research publications in top-tier AI conferences/journals such as NeruralIPS, ICLR, ICML, AAAI, and CVPR with demonstrated leadership in publishing top-tier research in LLMs, multimodal models or related areas.
- Patents filed / granted with commercial impact is desired.
- Contributions to Agentic AI, LLM Optimization, Autonomous Agents, RAG Systems, or Enterprise AI Platforms.
- Open-source contributions and AI thought leadership.
